Launching in 2008, Superleague Formula (SF) will be a brand new, global Championship that connects two of the most popular sports in the world: football and motor racing.
At their heart, both sports offer fans action and drama; that is their engine, their attraction. By combining the two, Superleague Formula will create a unique blend of entertainment, passion, fair play and exhilaration.
Taking motor sport back to its roots, all cars and engines will be identical, thereby putting an emphasis on the drivers' skills and abilities.
Superleague Formula will feature 20 cars competing against one another, with each one carrying the colours and livery of major football clubs from Europe and around the world.

Could easily develop into a battle of the Troys. Bayliss, riding the latest Ducati 1098R, is keen to show what might have been but for his painful tumble in last year’s race but he faces a tough time against fellow Aussie and former champion Corser, riding Yamaha.
Add the ever present threat of the exciting Noriyuki Haga, Max Biaggi plus the twice British Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari and the front-running duels will be fast and furious in a pack of highly powered production machines that should see top riders from the British Championship pushing them for glory as they make the most of their ‘wild-card’ tickets to ride.
That could see the likes of Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow claiming world glory, something that is also a strong possibility in the supporting World Supersport race which features top British riders including Chris Walker, Jonathan Rea and Craig Jones.

The big end of season showdown that pulls together all of the big names in this spectacular dirt bike – the Grand Prix circuit will put them all to the test with the Americans, led by Ricky Carmichael in last year’s triumph, keen to maintain their superiority.
British heroes Billy Mackenzie and Tommy Searle could have a pivotal role in upsetting that ideal, and keep an eye on the likes of Toni Cairoli who made a winning move into MX1 on this course at last year’s Grand Prix. Steve Ramon and Sebastien Pourcel should also be among the front-runners in what is arguably the sport’s most prestigious event.
